Locusts

Hi,

I was wondering if it's ok to use Locusts as the main diet rather than cricket's. My Yemen showes little interest in the crickets but as soon as I put the locusts in his viv he immediately goes hunting

do you mean grasshoppers? locusts are those scary swarms of grasshopper morphs u see in the bible.lol.

how are u obtaining these grasshoppers? field plankton? clean field?

but as long as their gutloaded dusted, and clean of chemicals, i dont see anything wrong with them.

but WC insects have a greater risk of transmitting parasites and other unpleasantries, so good luck.

i use locust as his ain diet he loves em bt they do get really big they stick em in my bag by accident sumtimes lol bt yeah they great too feed

Locusts are grass hoppers but sold here in the UK as locusts. The ones I use are CB i.e. brought from shops or the internet.

Locusts seem more intertaining and challenging for my cham to hunt compared to crickets
