Kinyongia tenuis (note the correct spelling is "tenuis", not "tenue" now that it is placed in the genus Kinyongia) is called the Usambara Soft-horned Chameleon but as mentioned, common names can be very confusing, especially with less common species.

Micha - Fantastic photos and video. This is an amazing species, definitely a favorite of mine. Do you happen to have any good photos of adult males?

Chris

Micha - Thanks for posting the photos. The males have either brown or red noses but you don't seem to see photos of males as often as females. I have heard from Joe in Tanzania that the males are more difficult and he seems to tend to send mostly females. I've not seen too many photos of males, let alone a great diversity of colorations, unfortunately. I have a number of photos of females I've taken but I've actually not seen a male in person so I can't help you there with photos.

They are beautiful!!! I would love to be able to work with this species. Thank you for sharing your pics and video!!!

Hi Micha,

Many congratulations with these beautiful little critters!
How long did the incubation of the eggs take until they hatched? Do you mind sharing some information on the incubation temperatures that you have used?
Any idea how long the female was gravid before she has layed her eggs?
Do you happen to have pictures of your gravid females? I would like to see the color pattern (evolution) regarding females that are gravid.

Best regards

Joery

day 19-20c night 16c (day+68.0 °F night +60.8 °F)
