Just saved a crested gecko from petsmart=D

I saw him and had to take him..
Better me than staying there or end up in the hands of some child haha
Sadly hes missing his tail=// heard they dont grow back..
But just wondering if anyone has any care tips??
Have the basics already, just wanna know specifics if possible.

hey do you mind taking pictures of your gecko? That'd be great. Sorry to hear that but hey at least you saved him you know? Personally I don't know a lot about crested geckos. Crested geckos sadly do not grow their tails back. Sorry to inform you. Crested geckos are notorious to losing their tails though. They may grow a stump where their tail was at but that's about it.

Aww, what a sweet l'il crestie! I have two myself! The one thing that really worries me is if they get too hot in the summer - anything of 85F and above for any length of time can kill them. Temps range from 72-80 in the day. I have a low wattage desk lamp over mine to give a distinct night and day, and a 5.0 UV bulb, although they don't require UV to bask in being primarily nocturnal I thought it beneficial as I intend to breed mine this year. Humidity should be 60 - 80%. I keep mine on kitchen roll and mist twice a day. I have never tried the planted set up so can't help with that, although I did have eco earth as a substrate for a while but everything got mouldy and smelly so I ditched it! Also, feed him/her a specially formulated crested gecko food - not baby food! Also banana interferes with calcium absorption so is best avoided. Also citrus fruit is a big no-no too. Mine like thier food powder mixed into pureed mango. I puree a mango and freeze it in icecube trays, defrosting as needed.
