Illegally Selling?

If in USA Contact your states Fish and Game office.

Actually, for interstate sales and transporting violations, I believe the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) would have jurisdiction. Also, the Lacey Act addresses many of the requirements for selling and transporting wildlife.

As an aside, most people don't realize that any container in which live animals are shipped must have an outer label indicating the species, the common name, and the number of specimens in the container. It's not sufficient to simply label it as containing live animals or live reptiles, etc.

Here is an example of a Lacey Act compliant label.

To the OP: assuming you want to know how to report illegal sales of reptiles and amphibians, I'd start with USFWS. Also, here is a link with a good summary of the Lacey Act:

Holy crap, you really know your stuff. I have shipped chams, dragons, ect for years and never knew I was labeling them incorrectly. Thanks.

Thanks, but I can't claim any credit. I get most of my information from a guy who works at a zoo and frequents the poison dart frog forum - Dendroboard.com. He's a wealth of information on anything related to animals and he is very generous with his time and information.

It's not selling illegal reptiles it's selling them without permits and licenses. This has nothing to do with chams, i posted this on multiple sites because i bought 3 red eyed tree frogs off him and they died the next day now he wont give me my money back. Soooooooo if he wants to play that game them i will just shut him down.

I hate to tell ya but I doubt little if anything would happen to him. I can sell you a frog without a permit. Your best bet, is depending on how you bought him, (online, expo, store) is to make it known that he isnt a good seller. That way everybody will know, and he will not continue to do business. Also, I bet you if you make a thread on a bunch of forums and send him the links, he will give you a refund to have his name cleared.

I suggest you take your complain to the Board of Inquiry at Fauna Classifieds. At this time Chameleon Forums does not allow the public forums to be a used as a tool for resolving commercial disputes.
