I need help asap

I know that this has nothing to do with chameleons. BUT I need help! My dogs found a injured bird in the backyard this morning. I went out to check on him and his wing is broken. I dont know what to do. Another situation is that the birds around here are dropping dead all over the place. I dont want to bring in a sick bird if hes sick. Dont want to leave him outside because my dogs will kill him. Any suggestions will help. I really dont know what to do with him or her.

Could you scoop him up in a box & drop him at the local vets? That's what I did when we somehow ended up with a injured bat in the bath.

call your local animal shelter and find out if there is a wildlife rehab place anywhere near you

Since we live on a military base I called the MP's and they said they would get someone out here asap. My husband freaked out that I picked up the bird to put it in the box but I didnt want the dogs to kill it.

Since theres so many birds dying here he didnt want me to get sick if the bird is sick. My dogs would have tortured the poor little thing if I didnt go check on them. My little dog hates birds and shes teaching our pup to hate them too.
