in Nosy be, to be exact and this past summer he had the opportunity to take a motorcycle trip on the mainland of Madagascar. Before he left I asked him, if the opportunity arose, could he take a picture of any chameleons he passed in his travels. This is what he sent me, and I thought I'd share! :)

I honestly couldn't imagine seeing a chameleon so nonchalantly crossing the road in front of me! It most certainly would be amazing to see in person!

My friend told me that chameleon's are a symbol of good luck in Madagascar and to harm one will bring bad mojo upon you and your family. He said that people will put a chameleon inside their car (if they are lucky enough to own one!) because no one 'who knows whats good for them' will break into, or steal a car with one inside!

That's soooo awesome. How I wished some beautiful Panthers were native roaming around my backyard. Super jealous. I have to make a trip as well. Who's down?

That's pretty cool! There's nothing better than to see them roam in their natural habitat.

You need to tell your friend how much I envy, hate, want to be, and a bunch of other things. He runs a dive shop? I might be able to get hubby on board for a dive trip. Cham trip not so exciting for him but a dive trip = love.

How can I get info about his dive shop?

WOW! I am also super jelous :(
Having wild chams running around in my yard is like the most beautiful dream I could have :)

Instead, I'm stuck with ugly, distructive squirrels and opossums !! :(

Cool pics! Thanks for sharing them. I love the one of the cham crossing the road with the little boy behind him.

That's really cool. To see them all over the place and crossing the road like that...I bet they don't even do a double take or anything. And to top it off by doing a motorcycle trip all over Madagascar...lucky him. Luv me some chams and motorcycles.

It'd be my luck that I wouldn't see a single cham if I took this trip! I see pics on instagram from people always catching and photoing jacksons while on vacay in Hawaii. Again, I bet I'd come up empty...

Anyways, what an awesome experience it must be to visti Maddy! One day. One day... ;)

Chams AND diving??? Sign me up!!! :D

I know....it all sounds so exotic and exciting! I will check into what his company is called. He's got a Facebook page and has some pretty incredible pictures posted, both from under the sea and on land!

And yes, Africa as a whole is on MY bucket list....one day, one day! :)

If anyone is interested, my friend who runs the dive shop in Madagascar has a FB page, Coral Diving Madagascar, or alternatively, www.coralgardendiving.com. His pictures both on land and in the water are incredible. I'm sure he'd love to take anyone able to visit for a dive or a drive - lots of chameleons to be seen! Cheers,
