When they are that Young up until about 12 months they should eat as many as they would like in a day. 20 plus is not unheard of.

They rule for cricket size is usually no bigger than the space between the Chameleons eyes. My 6 month old panther eats medium crickets usually about 15 - 20 a day.

I would think large crickets would be too big and would try a size down. If they are too big you risk choking or impaction in some cases. I think more of the medium crickets would be best.

Just remember, there is a school of thought that says you should try to limit a female's diet as they become sexually mature (so from about 6 months). If they are fed large quantities of food, they may produce clutches of infertile eggs (i.e. producing eggs without having mated).

Please read this article: Keeping A Female Veiled Chameleon (though it's specifically about Veileds, it applies to Panthers too).

BocaJan will become famous soon enough
My 3 - 6 month veileds get 3/4" crickets and eat them with no problem. I give them about 6 to 8 per day. They are getting old enough now I am thinking of limiting them to every other day or maybe just 3-4 a day.

Ow, so i should stop giving too much you mean? or too big?

Cause i dont want her to lay.. i'd rather wait for my male..
So how many cricks a day , and how large you recommend?
How often should i dust iwth cal and vitamin supplements then?

Thank you very much bryan and Tygerr!
