Hornworms the name says it all

Ok I just got a good look at a hornworm online and I was thinking of ordering Ozzie some along with his silkworms but that horn on their head has me concerned......will that horn hurt my Cham in any way? Oh I know but I am a worry wart and you should know that by now:D

no it wont hurt your chameleon. It looks like it is a hard spike but it is really soft and bendable. I know your chameleon is young so you need to know these things grow SUPER fast and may end too big for your chameleon in a matter of a week.

I have never had a problem. You should be fine, the biggest problem with horn and silkworms are the weight your chameleons will put on. If you choose to feed your chameleon these types of worms just watch he dosen't get to fat. He will definitely enjoy them. :D

Ok Thanks everyone that is a huge relief , maybe I should wait and get those until Ozzie gets a bit bigger then. I dunno he goes through phases where he really lights up when he sees a particular worm and then he doesn't respond sometimes...who knows....picky Cham.

They also have a cup of newborn hornworms that are very small and would be perfect for your cham if he isn't big yet. They'll take longer to grow than the worms in the normal pod.
