has anyone used a hampster waterer thing effectivly?
mine seems to drink from it from time to time but not a lot. i have it for when i go to school all day and work at night he will have something to drink (if he needs) between mistings and dripper refills.

You mean a water bottle? My guinea pigs drink out of those so I have some spares... maybe I should try! I'm getting worried that he's getting dehydrated. Like you, I still go to school so when I am not there I am worried if the dripper runs out and I'm not their to spray.

You guys aren't home with your chams 24/7 ??? OMG. that's wrong. i quit my day job just to take care of mine. haha j/k. :p i make my wife do it, and when she doesn't she gets in trouble.

the only thing i can say with trying one of these water bottles is make sure it is the one with the metal ball. it will reflect the light and he will think its a water drop. i also spray it a wee bit to make a water drop stay on the ball part so that he does see that there is water there and to train him that there is water in there. i does work but should not be the main source of water. its just a backup.

and i wish i could stay home 24/7 with my cham. we could play fetch the silkworm and shooters. ill flick a cricket and hell shoot it out the air. ahh the life

ah you only need one really. more then one will probably be a waste. the hardest part is getting it on the cage. i had to use bread twist ties that i fead threw the holes on my screen. it was hard making it tight enough and able to hold the full water bottle but it worked.

warning; it might ruin your screen if you are not careful. dont twist to hard or move to different areas often. it will cause stress on the screen and maybe bend or break it. be smart.

2 chams :) or about to be 2 chams rather...

luckily my mesh is large so it fit right thru, attached it w/ a plastic zip tie

I've toyed with this idea for a few years now

The issue with the ball bering type if water feeder is that the animal may catch
or pinch it's tongue in it while tasting.

I've used a glass pipette type while safer it doesn't work very well at all
draining it reservoir at once all over the cage and scaring the animal.

I've got a good solution for the veilds and continuing to work on the panthers
I'll post about that later after I finish with the trials.
