Fruit flies? Probably a dumb question

This is probably a very dumb question but I really don't know the answer and neither did anyone at Petco ( Go figure) anyways Petco got in a new Jar of Flightless Fruit flies so I bought Ozzie some since he loves nats. My question before I bought them was how do I prevent the flies from getting all in my house and to stay in Ozzies habitat because on the front of the Jar it shows the flies with wings? The girl at Petco stood there and said oh these are new on the market and I have no clue.

My question to you all is do these flightless fruit flies fly or no? I don't want fruit flies swarming my house, Lord knows I already got that with worms LOL!!

They have wings but they just climb, they don't fly.

Put them in a feeder cup in the enclosure once you've dusted them.

They will climb out of the cup, but like I say they don't fly anywhere, they'll just climb over everything till they're eaten up.

Some people say to put a small piece of banana or orange in the cage and the flies will stay on it. If you only put a couple in at a time, from my experience, they don't last long-the chameleons are really stimulated to attack by the short jumps they produce.
