thanks guys..im in awe as much as you..its really cool to see how fast the colors change on the fast motion :)

what is the material she is digging in? Also, you said she has laid four clutches? how old is she and when did she lay her first? Just curious.....

first unferties where when she was 8 months old (actually you and jannb talked me through it cause i was thinking she was going to be egg bound, but i was paitient like you guys said to be, lol) she is now 1 and 4 months old , and i still dont believe her and the male have mated yet, they live in a free range together (with a third female, that has adapted great, they all bask with eachother, also im here 24\7 to monitor) still have not witnessed mating, i do leave on occation for a day or so, but ive not seen him mate with either..

p.s. sorry i have been gone for about 3 months..lol:D

ohh and p.p.s. the dig material is playsand with a lil bit of regular soil added to it and moistend to just that right amount she likes to dig in..

Nice video! She leveled it all out at the end, impressed...lol.

Tha totally suprized me too, i knew they would make it like you could never see where the dig site was, but to level it all out then stomp it in circles was pretty cool...amazing what instinct tells "us" what to do weather we are taught or not how to do it..

so you are hoping these ones are fertlile then?! Maybe they waited for you to leave so they could do it in privacy.lol;) You should set up a video camera for when you are gone! lol It is an amazing thing how nature works. I have had the pleasure of seeing the giant loggerhead sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach here in florida. The whole process is amazing. Once they start laying they are like in a transe and you can touch them and they just keep doing their thing.

that is really awesome you have seen the turds in action (i call turtles the turds, my sis has one thats 12 years old now i gave her when it was a hatchling its 13 inches acrossed, female red ear slider, laying unferties all the time now, haha)..as for the room vid, i was actually thinking that, i mean the are actually in the corner of the room, i was thinking of making a 3 day long time lapse of ("life of the chameleons")..maybe by next month i can pull it off...and yes still unsure if the are real ammo or just blanks..

A place down here called Juno Beach is one of the most popular laying places for the loggerhead and green turtles. When it is season, you see pink stakes in the sand all over to mark the nests so no one digs them up accidentally. They have a place that takes groups of people on the beach to see the turtles lay but it is very controlled and I went one time and never even got to see one lay! So one night it was a full moon and my sister was in town and we drove up to this private beach I have access to cause I take care of this condo when they people are up north. So the full moon must have had something to do with it cause we got down to the beach and there must have been 20 or 30 of them laying!!!! We could not believe how lucky we got!!! It was an amazing sight to see!

Thanks!!, sorry i missed the very beggining, i have to put my females in the dig bucket around 2-3 times before they dig, so i didnt start the cam right away, and also an interesting aspect, she dug her own hole this time, i normally make a pilot hole in the middle to coherse her to dig, she ignored it and went for the side of the bucket this time..female 2 will be up next..:D
