Cup Feeding WC Fischer's

Hey guys, just brought home a beautiful wc Fischer's chameleon and for feeding I mounted a deli container to his enclosure as I did for my veiled, except my fischer's is ignoring the cup, though he obviously notices moving objects he seems weary of it.

How long should I give him before switching to free range feeding (I'll still leave a couple in the cup when I do this, in case he picks up on it)?

I have noticed even my acclimated "fischer's" wont eat from a cup. CH,CB, or WC. I have also noticed a lot of the WCs arent too keen on crickets at first either. I would say free range his feeders if he isnt taking to the cup. Also have some different feeders on hand besides crickets. Flies really get them going.

Hmm, that'll be difficult if he doesn't take to crickets within a few days (that's what he was eating at the pet store). My silks won't be big enough for a while and crickets are the only staple feeder readily available.

Yea, my Fischer's dont eat outa the cups either, they get very scared of it and stay at the other end or top of the cage.
Free ranging is best for them.........I just pour in about 4 crickets every 3 days for them and they go after them right away........

So they do require less food than a veiled/panther (~5 every day when they're young/10 or so every other day adult)? That's another thing I was wondering.

Yea, sometimes I will feed 2-3 every other day sometimes 4 every 3 days....even then, somtimes I'll find a cricket or 2 in the cage a day afterwards......especially with my sternfeldi I only feed them twice a week at most now....

But as a side note......as soon as I put them on my plum tree, they go hog wild for any insects on it........
