I know some people use coconut husk as bdding / a mix for egg laying.. but was wondering if chameleons can actually eat the Coconut..?

I bought some coconut, and was wondering, will she eat the white coconut?

Thanks

You might wanna hope she doesn't. If she poops on it and she decides to eat it.. well.. there you go.

I'm not sure if coconut can be a good gutload and food for chameleon.
I myself avoid eating them too much (coconut and coconut milk).
They are very high in cholesterol.

This all good?

Oats
Celery
Banana
Boiled Egg
Kale
Red Potato
Tomato
Lettuce

For Gutload for crickets / Superworms?

Is your coconut dried and unsweetened? or raw/fresh? Dried meat has very little, almost NO cholesterol, according to what I am reading. But it doesnt really offer all that much to the feeders that you wouldnt get from other gut load sources anyhow.

A little wont hurt the feeders or you ;)
Coconut is yummy

Fresh coconut might be a good source of water for hydration for your crickets. I might give it a try and alternate it with the raw potato that I use for hydration.

Thank you,

It is fresh, I just cracked the coconut about 10 minutes ago.. and am waiting for approval of all these foods i listed.

Thanks sandra :D

If its fresh it'll have quite a few calories.. try looking at your local herb/drug store, they usually have dried coconut with no added sugar.

:D This is my Cricket keeper it is 1 foot long by 7 inches width..

In there is kale, with a mixture of Lettuce, kale, banana, oats, Celery, And some bits of dried coconut.

Then it is bedded with ooats, and little bits of dried coconut.. That good / bad?

I could redo it :p

Is this for supers? crickets? or what?

For Zophobas /supers I usually have a deeper layer of substrate as they like to burrow in it.

Omg, forgot to add this too..

I will put the crickets into a differant feeder about 3 days before i feed to the chameleon, i will put them in wayyyy more veggies / fruit... This is just to fatten them suckers up :D
