A past thread I started detailing chameleon related book collections, and which are the best books to have.

What's in your library?

If you are a novice and want to remain a novice, then buy a novice book. If you want to see how far the rabbit hole goes, then I recommend:

Chameleons: Nature's Hidden Jewels
2nd Revised & Updated English Edition
by Peter Necas

Chameleons: Their Care and Breeding
by Linda J. Davison

Incubation of Reptile Eggs: Basics, Guidelines, Experiences
by Gunther Kohler

Though you'll have to look at the books others posted and recommend because I don't have a complete collection.
