Cool Calumma parsonii!!!!

Okay... So I have watched my Chameleons of Madagascar DVD like 3 times in the last 2 days. I can't get over how bitchin' the section on Calumma parsonii is... I think I have a new Fav. I did a little research and found out that these were included in the Export ban of 1994. I read about the history of their export and life in captivity. Aparently they have not done well in captivity, and according to the site I was reading only about 200 of the 4000 imported between '88 and '94 have died and only a few clutches of eggs have been hatched in captivity, and none of the CB young have produced babies. Does anyone know if this info is correct? The site is copyright 2000 so it might be a little dated. I would love to get the opportunity to own one of these guys one day. Has anyone had the privledge to keep one?

There are a few people that have them. Because of the controversy they don't like to make it public.

Kammerflage Creations sells them, but it looks like their whole clutch is sold. They ARE gorgeous, and extremely expensive. Kammers has a breeding colony of them, it looks like. Here is a link:

I wouldn't mind owning one someday either, they are just amazing creatures! And the babies...SO DAMN CUTE!

I dont beleive the ones they had for sale where hatched by them. Altnhough, they do have a breeding colony they are working with.

You need a "magic bathroom" in which to successfully hatch them in North America.
