Most people are saying to dust with a phos.-free calcium powder at most of the feedings to help make up for the usually poor ratio of calcium to phosphorus found in many of the feeder insect....and twice a month with a phos.-free calcium with D3 powder to ensure that the chameleon gets some D3 without overdoing it and leaving the chameleon to produce the rest of the D3 it needs from its exposure to the UVB light they are supposed to get.

Also, most people dust with a vitamin powder once a month. I recommend one that has a beta carotene (prOformed) source of vitamin A since that form of vitamin A won't build up in the system like prEformed sources will. This leaves it up to the owner to provide any prEformed vitamin A they feel the chameleon needs. Excess prEformed vitamin A may prevent the D3 from doing its job and push the chameleon towards MBD.

Calcium, D3, vitamin A and phos. are all important players in bone health and need to be in balance. You need to look at what you are feeding the chameleons, what you are feeding the insects and what you are supplementing with.
