This has been said before cross breeding is frowned upon for many reasons mostly the selling of the off spring to a unknowing buyer as a specific locale can ruin you and your reputation as a breeder. And if you do the right thing and sell it as a morph theres no guarantee that the next guy will be as forthcoming as you were. Also morphs are harder to sell if thats what you want to do. I dont consider myself an expert just a little knowledgeable.

I would have to say the same. I bought a 1.2 of pinks. The male did not make it. But the females did, So instead of breeding them and taking a chance on people doing the right thing, I choose not to. So now I am just wating to find me another pink male.

I would agree with dean also. After I found this site and started reading about crossing locales I came to the conclusion that It just isnt right in my mind. To answer your question about your female 5 months is way to young. They reach sexual maturity around 6 months but they are still growing. The calcium they use to build there bones will be used for the eggs instead which can result in many problems. 1 year is the general rule.
