im getting my first chameleon in a week or so and having got my setup sorted out ive been researching and come accross free ranging them which seems like a great thing to do when im in the house. i already have a few small trees in the house a Bay tree, lemon and orange tree which are all big enough for him to climb in.

has anyone used these before, ive googled it but didnt come up with much.

thanks

I'd also like to know this, because I have an orange tree that my chameleon likes to climb onto as well...

i looked on the fl chams site at their safe plant list and i didnt see ether of them on there so unless a experts says other wise or someone that knows more then me i would say no.

if its not on a approved safe list i'll avoid them, better safe than sorry until proved otherwise.

There are other treads on the site addressing the citrus tree issue and they come to the conclusion that they are fine.

I put my Cham out in the sun on a lemon tree and he is happy.

thats encouraging, and useful because my lemon tree is the largest and most climbable of the trees i have. i'll continue to investigate thanks for the responses.

The information is very interesting. It made me understand something, and it is that I never knew before.
