Baby quad update

Well, the little one passed away. It looked good the first day, then had 1 eye closed. I sprayed it gently, it opened the eye but did not look normal (almost as if it was blind in the eye).
Also noticed that the tail end was deformed (thought it was just curled up).
I will not give up though. A woman is letting me have a couple of her babies that were laid naturally (she still has the parents) and I will try it again.
I am still pretty bummed though.

dammm. sorry for the loss, i wish we were closer. you say a woman is giving you a couple babies, are they quads as well?

Jo that is just awful. Losing a baby always seems like such a waste and so sad. Hope things go better for you.

Yes they are quads from a pregnant wild caught female. the same batch that I had, but she took them early and I waited 1 week and it was very warm at the supplier. That is why I lost a pair. I guess eggs taken from a dead female are not very strong. I had brought the mom to the vet for oxytocin shots and everything.
I still have alot of different species, but quads are my favorite.
