Baby Panther not eating

My baby panther is not eating his crickets as far as i can tell. He moves around a lot and drinks plenty of water, however I don't think he has eaten yet. I bought him on monday. He eyeballs the crickets and gets close to them but won't eat. I am using a cup feeder that is clear and i am wondering if he is trying to get to them through the cup and doesn't know to go through the top. Please help. I was also told new baby chameleons often don't eat until a few days after they are moved to their new home.

it is true that they sometimes will not eat. Are they small enough crickets? Have you seen him shoot from the outside of the cup trying to get in? If so, He could injure his tongue that way. It is suggested to not use a totally clear cup so that does not happen.

Buy 1/4 inch crickets, put 15 in the cage, and let him hunt. Make sure your cage is sealed. I tried to cup feed my dude, but he would just look at them and believe me I tried ever sort of "cup" there is. Now, I just put the crickets at the base of his plant and they climb the branches to their immediate death.

I started him out on free range and I didn't count how many crickets and my cage was not completely sealed at the time. It is now so I may try that again.

Yeah, free ranging can be a pain. But, at least they get to hunt and eat something even it's not as much as we would like. Just try to remove as many crickets as you can before he sleeps.

He's a really little guy, you should cup feed and free range. When I first got my guy he rarely ate for about two weeks and definitely took no interesting in hunting. Now he both cup feeds and hunts if he happens to spot a cricket in front of him. I'm sure he's just settling in but you should definitely give him the option of hunting and cup feeding.

Your little guy is 8 weeks, he may be up for a shed. My guy wouldn't eat for a few days, then he shed and went on a binge.

He ATE! This morning I decided to free range some crickets and not even five minutes later a cricket met its end. Thanks everyone for your advice:)
