I'm in the process of setting up a Chameleon Set up.
After much research and seeing and handling my friends Yeman, I no the route I'm going down.

I searched online shops, visited shops etc, but I do love a bargain, so ebay was my friend, yes I no shudder from some peeps, but its what I no.
After tracking down a 4x2x2 mesh enclosure with all the lights heating & uv already set up, it was the right price and local, so I snapped it up.

Currently stripping it down to bare bones to clean change a few bits an bobs.
Once done i'll put all back together, get everything set, get my friend to check I've not missed anything, then i'll buy a yeman.

Once all done i'll post up some pics

Welcome to the forum! Good to see you're getting ready for the chameleon before you get it! This is a great place to learn!

I'm fully aware I have not posted much about this, but I have been lurking and reading up as much as humanly possible.

Umbrella plant has been bought, cleaned and is settling in to viv nicelly.

Drift wood has been bought, cleaned, steralised, cleaned again and finally air dryied.

Various willow branches have also had the same treatment ready to start placing across the cage to get some nice horizontal climbing places.

Supplements have been ordered, along with a replacement UV bulb (as was unsure how old the one was that I got given with the viv).

Table has also been purchased to raise the viv off the floor, making the basking spot at least head height to our house hold.

Timers also ordered to set the lights and temp control so theres a nice constant going on.

Now to set the sensors up to check the ambient temp, basking temp, humidity.

Ideally then run the set up for at least a week, including the dripper system working, misting enclosing twice daily, doing this to check everything works, levels are correct. Hopefully then if all looks good, get in touch with my local shop to pick up a lovely male veiled.

Well after some time sorting stuff, here is the cage and my special boy 'Hulk'

OMG your set up is perfect and absolutely gorgeous. I totally approve, lot's of foliage and horizontal pathways for your new little one. I love the look of it, looks like a miniature forest. <3 Any cham would be happy to be in it. Good luck and welcome ^^

Thank you very much, I spent a while researching and working out what was the best route to go down. Luckly the internet and friends with reptiles helped give great advise so I did it right first time around.
