H-O-w-d-y;
recently on the forum there was an offer for a veiled here locally in Houston that needed a new home due to its owner traveling ; well, i went to pick him up; since he said the veiled was very mean and not happy i rented a small U haul to stand upright the cage and keep him from any type of quick change.
Well, First all he has a plexi glass door on the cage that the Cham, whom i named KnoKnut; see himself constantly, so i put some nice shelf paper on it and elimanted that, the main reason for him being so darn mean was probalby that he was constantly threatened by his own reflection,
Anyhow, first thing we went to the vet since I felt he had some type of ailment because I felt the previous owner didn't quite know what he was doing. We got a clean bill of health at the vets, weighing in at 1.975 kg, and no MBD; that was my biggest worry, so we got a vitimin booster shot because he gets pretty frantic when ya reach for him, he trembles, hisses, rears back and lunges, has a mean curled bottom lip and is a total basket case, first time i went to get him out when we got him home he was trembling and i had a dubois in my hand that i just stuck in his mouth since i didn't know if he was able to use his toung or not, the owner said he never saw him eat, he was to shy and would only eat when he left the room; well, he's doin the same here only not quite as bad as they made it seem.
Actually he has aclimatized and watches me from the free range ares I have, now, i am working on my second area. it gonne be real nice when i r finished.
I can only say it's an experience to have a Cham like KnoKnut; the exact opposite of my lil CoeChi, but I am sure i will be able to tame this one just like i did CoeChi, it's just gonna take a lil longer but we are gonna have fun doin what we gotta do.

I am also glad you have him. He may never be friendly but I am sure once he knows you are the food source and not a threat, he will learn to not be afraid of you. Best of luck to you both.

thank you'll

We have established a bond already, this afternoon we spent quality time with another, me no gloves and he only barley hissed once and let me handel him like he luved it, he is such a sweet lil fellow and brings me so much JOY.
Its gonna get better every day, he is very intereasted in what i am doing and willlook me over from head to toe, if i have something in my hand he wants to look behind me to see what it is, aucha super Cham my lil KnoKnut
