Ok so i got the tank and its all set up. now i need to wait a few weeks for nitrate and other stuff to go down. then I'm getting a few hermit crabs, a clown fish, a few snails, and live corals. I'm thinking about putting a long tentacle anemone or a elegance coral for the clown fish. give me your thoughts and whhen i get it all set up ill post pics.

Anemones can be difficult to keep even in well established tanks. I've had reef tank for years until I recently had to take mine down to move. I'll say this though, it was very difficult for me to maintain a 20g nano reef tank compared to my 90 gallon. You have to do a water change just about every day to keep it healthy. The larger, the easier in the reef world. It's possible to do, just lots of time and work. Good luck!

Old post but I wanted to respond in case anyone else is attempting this. In order to keep all that livestock in a 10 gallon display you will need to have a large sump to maintain the correct water parameters and hold equipment. I would say 20g at least. If you do add a nem you need to make sure that you have good lighting to ensure your nem doesn't go for a walk and gets sucked into your powerhead. Find out what type of clownfish you are getting, as Perculas and Ocellaris, Clarkii and the different species accept different hosts. Also, Elegance corals are extremely finicky and need lower lighting than nems. I would advise against keeping them both in a 10g. Nanos aren't easy. I've keep reef at 300+G to 5G and the smaller they get the harder they are. HTH
