Zz plants HELP PLEASE

So our local WalMart had some plants on clearance. I found an umbrella tree and a zz plant for $3.57 each. Now I know my umbrella plant is perfectly fine for Ringo and Starr. But I can't find any info on zz plants on if they are safe or not. Can anyone help me out on this.? If it's not safe its fine I'll transplant it and move it to a well light cornet. I'm just curious. Thank you
