Yemen Chameleon Hanging from front legs

Hi All,

I was after a little advice:
Weird situation. My chammy is spending a fair amount of time just hanging from her front feet with the rest of her hanging below. Spends a while like this and then wanders of to do her thing etc. Seems fine - eating normally although gravid at the moment (infertile) so has been a bit of her food, but seems fine. Can get around without problems and temps are all ok.

Anyone experienced similar?

Does she ever fall off? No other problems? Chameleons are just goofy like that, sometimes... but other times there can be an underlying issue.

Never falls off, but sometimes will hang like that for a few hours at a time. There appears to be no other problems.

All chams go time to time crazy and hang somehow from the branches (when my cham was a kiddo he used to sleep head-down hanging only on his tail!).
Take a look at her joints and if they are not swollen, it should be OK. Gravid females need more calcium and this kind of stuff, does she get it?

You said she's gravid...how long has she been gravid? Does she have a place in her cage to dig to lay eggs? Has she ever laid eggs before? If so, when and how many?

She has a couple of places to lay eggs, which she has been doing (i saaw some last night).

They dig to lay eggs-how did you see them? She may beome eggbound if she thinks people are watching her.

You got a future female body builder. Thats all you should be worried about. Start feeding your rickets steroids and feed them to your cham XD
