i am currently building a cage for my cham.

i am wandering what watt bulbs would be good for a 33x23x48 LxWxH

or how can i figure this out?

trial and error.
I am using a 40 watt house bulb for heat with the basking area about 7" away.
That gives me about 88 degrees.
You just have to try different watt bulbs at different distances to see which combo will give you the ideal basking temp for your type of cham.

the best way to figure wattage for a basking bulb is by using a digital temp probe, idealy you want the smallest wattage bulb you can have, and still achieve the temps you are looking for, less chance of burns , unnoticed heat buildup, etc. basking is primarily for temp, your uva/uvb will satisfy the other requirements
