Hi guys,

I received my Panther Chameleon last week and the last few days in the late afternoon I've been noticing he has some kind of routine. He goes the the highest spot of the enclosure where he "puffs" up to full size, wiggles/shakes his body around a bit and then opens his mouth and sort of bites the air maybe once or twice. Is this some sort of dominance thing? There aren't any other animals in the room so I'm a little lost, haha.

Quick Notes;
-6 months old
-18x18x36 enclosure
-reptisun 5.0 as well as a basking bulb temps at 70-75 ambient up to 90 at peak basking area
-Mistking total of 12 minutes a day humidity constant 50-80%
-feeding on roaches and crickets

Is there a shiny reflective object he could see his reflection in? It could be that at a particular time of day something reflects his image and he goes up to threaten it. Does he do any of the gaping behavior while he's basking?
