weak bite, brown teeth

so for a while thalamus has not been using her tongue normally. she just laid a bunch of infertile eggs and hasnt been eating ( https://www.chameleonforums.com/female-not-eating-after-laying-eggs-47841/ ) i wasnt aware that she was producing eggs about two months ago so i didnt up her calcium intake. at that time she started to only stick her tongue out an inch or two to eat but she was still catching her food with no problem. her teeth had also turned brown at this point. after she laid her eggs last week, not only has she not been eating, but when she showed interest in food she wouldnt stick her tounge out at all, she would only creep up and try to bite the food. today as i was feeding her, she was completely failing to catch a superworm. heres a video:

if you watch at 0:33 the ridge over her right eye shifts as she chews down.

her tongue doesnt seem to be as sticky and her jaw must be weakened from calcium loss since she isnt biting hard. she bit me the other day and i hardly felt anything. her casque has started to bend too. since she's laid, ive upped her calcium intake to everyday. what would be more important for her at this point, calcium with or without d3? also would it be wise to get a calcium injection for her when i see the vet or would that be too much with the extra supplementing? thanks for your input! i hope thalamus recovers.

If you have a good cham vet, they would be able to tell you how much is too much with a calcium injection. But maybe someone here knows more than I do about that. But I would also get her some butterworms and phoenix worms, just to give her diet more oomph.

I believe the bone is dying (or something similar) when it turns brown. I've seen pictures of a chameleon whose teeth were brown where the teeth all fell out on one side (and they were all connected, but I'm not sure if it was the whole jaw bone that cane out.)

She will probably need calcium injection and then an injection of calcitonin to bring the calcium into the bones. I would consult with your vet.

do you think thats related to calcium loss? or could it be mouth rot? shes has white spots on her tongue. i tried to get a better look at them but she doesnt stick her tongue out at me for long. i have an appt. for friday. its the earliest i can see my vet because hes at a conference. i hope she can wait until then. in the meantime, ill just give her water with calcium dust dissolved in it. tried to pick up liquid calcium at the pharmacy but it had d3 in it so i didnt want to take my chances of overdosing her.
