Is it true that UVB rays from the sun do not go through windows or screen mesh? Chams do not get anything from the sun unless it is completely unfiltered by glass or screen? I'm having a hard time understanding this concept.

The uvb rays will go through screen mesh but will not go through glass, plexi glass, plastics or anything of this sort.

You do lose UVB through screen also (50%ish?), but 100% through glass

not the screen mesh. it's the reptarium kind of mesh i think.

UVB will go through a regular screen cage ok with a little drop. The mesh in a reptarium, will drop it alot more. Glass the drop is just about 100%, however some plastic has different amounts of UVB transparency. You just gotta find em.
