Hi people, im fairly new to this site and im not sure how to upload pics into my threads.

I can see where it says insert image but im not sure how to find the url of my picture.

I want to upload a few pics of my new chameleon enclosure to see what you guys think.

You can do one of two things.

1) upload your pictures from your computer to an online photosharing site such as Photobucket or Flickr. These sites have "free" accounts. They will provide you directions to upload your images and, once uploaded, the URL which lets you post them here.

or

2) You can "attach" your image to a reply. To do this, you need to use the "Post Reply" button (not the "quick reply") box. That window will have an icon that looks like a paperclip. Click that and it will let you find the file on your computer and upload it as an attachment.

Thanks for the help :) been trying to do it for a few days now lol

Anyway people tell me what you think bout the enclosure

The bulb inside the cage is not a good idea at all.
i would get a dome, screw the bulb into it and lay it on the top of the enclosure. That is too risky for your cham to get burned. Other than that it looks nice.

Because the top of the enclosure is wood id find it hard to put the light outside the cage, but i am planning on getting a bulb guard to be on the safe side.

Could you give me a bit of help please?

Well my viv is about 24inch wide by 18inch depth and 26inch high, Would a 6-7 week old chameleon be ok in this enclosure? Or would it be best to purchase an adult.

I really wanted a baby chameleon though but im not sure if the enclosure would be too big for it?

It would be ok, but you might want to cup feed so your chameleon can find his food. Sometimes in the bigger cages they may have trouble finding their prey. Also, what type of bulb is that hanging down, the orange one? what type of UVB will you be using and what are you using for a basking light?. I just don't like the idea of that bulb being so exposed like that. Also, what about when you mist the cage, if the bulb is hot and water touches it, it will probably cause it to pop.

Thanks for the info. Ive decided to cut out a square on the roof on the enclosure and cover it with mesh rather than wood so it enables me to put the uv light and heat lamp outside the enclosure
