On 10/20 my female Veiled laid 78 eggs, 70 are still doing great. If she were to lay a second clutch, when could that happen? I put her container back in when I noticed her plumping up considerably. She has been eating wonderfully ever since, until the past few days.
Veiled chameleon have the tendency of storing sperm. So, it is natural for her to laid a second clutch a month later. However, try to control the food intake, too much food will make her produce large clutch of eggs; sometimes might cause eggs retention and kill the female. I notice that when the female is ready to lay eggs, she will stop feeding for a few days and start wondering around the cage looking for site to lay eggs.
