For a brief moment I thought he was just going to rip the entire limb off the tree along with the mantis. The sheer size of this species along with their, obviously my bias opinion, prehistoric beauty is essentially unmatched. They seem like the tree ents of chameleons; ancient, mystifying, powerful, slow to grow and slow to age, a perpetually calm disposition that can transform into rage when angered or threatened... I envy all who are afforded the opportunity to experience the privilege of caring for this magnificent species. One day, if all works out, I too hope to post my own Sunday Parson's feedings.
