Anyone here know the K rating of the 5.0 repti-suns (both linear and compacts)? I know the 2.0 is 6700 K.
I am wondering how a standard 6700 K compact flourescent might work or affect chameleons (in addition or replacement of repti-suns). I am having trouble keeping some of my planted cham enclosures as lush as I would like them to be, so to aid this problem I added 6700 K daylight bulbs purchased at Lowes (that is, in addition to single 5.0 compacts). The chameleons have not shown any reaction yet (it's been a few months). I use these bulbs on my plant only racks too. Works wonderfully for plants.
Any input on the matter?
