silkworm coccoons

Finally! On my third batch of mulberry farms cup of silkies I was able to get about 90% of the uneaten worms to spin into their cocoons. The last batch I only got five to spin and when they came out as moths they were all female! UGH! Hopefully, we should have a much better ratio this go round with so many match up...

I would put paper under them once they start laying eggs that way you don't have eggs all over the place. Congrats. I have about 15 5th instars that should be spinning soon.
 
I hatch off the paper. Once laid, you could cut the paper for as many as you would like to hatch out at once and refrigerate the rest. They lay thousands upon thousands of eggs too.
