shedding?

My cham usually goes to his sleep spot about 45 minutes to an hour before his lights shut off. He shed for the first time today in his new home (i've had him for a week) and he is still awake climbing on his walls two hours after his lights have been shut off. Is this behavior just because he's shedding?

That would be my first guess! My cham did the same thing. He was all over the cage till he got all of the skin off. Then again he also did that one night after I fed him a late dinner.
