I can find very little information about caring for Senegal hatchlings, but I am going off of how to care for adults, but increasing the mistings and slightly decreasing the temperature to highs in low 80's for basking (direct sun), ambient of 75 (shade), and night time temp of 65, natural sunlight (unless the temps become unfavorable outside). I find they thermoregulate well, as needed.
I was given 15 hatchlings that someone hatched out from an import, about 2 weeks old. A couple have passed just today, they looked frail and were weak, but some of them look great, have a ton of energy, and look like they have a fighting chance. I have read so many threads that people say how fragile they are and one person said several clutches didn't make it past 3 months of age, and because of that, I am absolutely terrified.
Should I just stick with what I am doing? I have only had them since this morning, so I won't know if my husbandry has caused any problems, and I am worried about night time temps, I think I will keep them at 70 tonight. Any suggestions?
