Question about my female Veiled.

Hello.

I have 2 Chameleons, a Male Jackson and a Female Veiled.

My question is about my Veil. She still a juvenile, she's about 6 to 8 inches from snout to the end of her tail. I already know that she would lay eggs (Infertile) even if she is not with a male so my question is; at what age or size, would she began to lay eggs and how many times a year would she lay?

Thanks

Veileds can start laying eggs as early as 4 or 5 months...but some never lay them. To some extent it seems to depend on the amount of food they get and other things in their husbandry.

Here's some information that I wrote about it...

Its recommended that once they get to be sexually mature an opaque container (at least 12" deep x 12" x 8") full of moistened washed playsand to give the female a place to dig to show you when she's ready to lay eggs.

(BTW...do not let her see you watching her when she is digging.)

Thanks.

I allready have the conteiner in her cage just in case. The other question is; How old do you think she is, She is about 6 to 8 inches long.

Here is a Picture
