Premature baby

Hey guys! My chameleon has been noticeably not looking as much pregnant as past days and i check the bottom of the cage and i see this.. its a baby that was given birth to early, does that mean all of her other babies are dead or what? i’m very concerned.

I am sorry, I don't have any knowledge of cham births but you could try to look on different sites.

What is the species of chameleon? Please make sure you include this in your threads. Then we can tag people in that have hands on experience with your species or ones that are similar.

My understanding of chams that live birth their babies is that they can pass slugs as well. These are the unfertilized eggs. This is where my knowledge ends.

I believe you had an elliots chameleon? @javadi @JacksJill might be able to look at that pic and give you more info.

I don't actually know what that is in the picture. Picture is too blurry.

This is what slugs look like. Slugs or unfertilized ova and what they look like.

Also some live births will have a small yolk sack attached. That isn't what this is.
