Philodendrom-Toxic or NonToxic?

Little Hat

Hi Everyone,

Putting together my enclosure and I have a philodendrom plant and was wondering if this plant is toxic to panther chameleons?

Thanks

not good

Panthers do occasionally eat leaves, and _Philodendron_ sp. are not good to eat. They contain compounds and crystals that burn the mouth of any animal that samples them.

The plant called pothos (_Epipremium pinnatum aureum, or more often seen as _Scindapsus aureus_) is a better choice, as it is not dangerously toxic. This is a very common plant and should be easy to find, and inexpensive.
