Phheewww..

Just got done putting down vinyl tiles in Molly's cage, not the prettiest job but it will do. Man my hands are killing me! I used them to cover the wooden base, has anyone else tried this for their homemade cages? It looks nice, and would probably look even better if they were real linoleum tiles but I just don't have that time and Money :D I still need to seal along the edges, I didn't have an exacto knife and had to use a steak knife to cut the pieces, it looks pretty sloppy. When i'm finished I will post a picture.

I used similar tiles to line my tree house when I was a child... however it rained heavily a few months later and all the moisture warped the tiles. They began to bend upwards and the glue got soggy...

make sure you seal the edges and cracks very very well. Overall though Ide assume with good hygienic practices it will be a fine material ~!

which reminds me... tomorrow is chameleon cleaning day.... sigh.

Be sure to clean behind the ears. Oh wait, they don't have ears.:p

Roomba is most not amused.

Hahahahah... if only.... Tomorrow I will be steam showering three cages.... it aint that bad.

I used an off cut of vinyl flooring to line the bottom of my cages. Got it free from a flooring shop that we use! It looks really nice and I sealed around the edges with silicon to stop water getting underneath. It just wipes clean and looks really nice!

HEHE I wish my kitchen looked like that. Unfortunately I did not build a drainage system into my cage when I built it (stupid me) But with all of the plants it turns out fine. It dries up from the bottom pretty quick and whatever lands on the plant gets drunk/absorbed/dried up. I try my best to only spray the plants.

It looks neat, im not knocking it, just thinking you might need a dripper or mister etc later when your cham is bigger and needs more hydration than from hand misting, then it might be a problem.
:)
