Hello!

I'm fairly new to the forum and thought that I'd ask my first question.
I brought home my first cham, a 5.5 months old (DOH 4/10/14) ambilobe panther that I named Taco, on 10/4/14. He's been amazing and I've enjoyed every part of being his human and taking care of him. I've posted a few pics below.

As for my question, I just want to know how he looks size wise. He's about 10.5 months old now and measures right at 13.25 inches tip to tip. He seems a little small, but what do I know. As far as food goes, I offer him medium dubias, large crickets and superworms everyday. He's a pretty good eater, polishing off 5-7 of the crickets and 2-3 supers, but doesn't touch the dubias. When I first brought him home he loved them. I also offer him hornworms every couple of weeks, but he doesn't show much interest and the majority usually go to waste. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Adrian

He's a very good looking Panther.

My female Panther doesn't go for hornworms, either. She also used to love dubias, but won't even look at them now. Pretty much only crickets, for the time being.

IMHO, he looks to be about the right size. Of course, I'll let the experts offer their more informed observations.

He looks great! If you focus on the essentials (variety of food, gut loading/vitamin dusting, UVB, hydration, temps, housing, etc.) the size will happen. He may not get gigantic but it's sort of like with people they tend to vary in personality and size. I have a blue bar similar to him and he's growing slower than my yellow body blue bar that's a few months younger. There's nothing wrong with that he just has his own pace. hope this helps!

Same size as my panther

Looks good, same size as mine who is about 2 years old.
I hardly ever get to see his great colors. He only does them when he is upset and I don't let that happen.
Any ideas on how to get the color show without upsetting him?
