Outside Enclosure Questions

I am building Sayid's outdoor enclosure this weekend. I am placing it on my covered porch. It has been running about 68-70 at night and 80-82 during the day. He will be shaded from the porch roof with direct light shining a few hours each day. Do I still need to put his lights on the enclosure or will the natrual uv and outdoor temps be good enough. I will have his dripper and a mist system for hydration. BTW the new enclosure in 36hx36wx24d
Thanks.....

How old is Sayid and what type of chameleon? That sounds like a pretty small outdoor enclosure? Do you have a UV meter to see if he'll be getting any UV under the porch? Most likely he will still need his UV light.

Sayid is an almost 5 month old veiled. The enclosure is an old bird cage that I screened in. I do not have a meter but I plan on picking one up, hopefully this weekend. The sun shines directly on the back and side of the cage from about 2pm to 5pm. I have been keeping his lights on top just in case.
