I know that combining two separate species of reptiles in the same habitat is not recommended, but we have a 55 gallon tank with a small veiled chameleon in it right now and were looking into maybe getting either an eyelash crested gecko or a leopard gecko and putting them together in the same tank. I have heard that those two types of geckos are relatively lazy and will always stay at the bottom of the tank. We figured this shouldn't disturb our veiled chameleon since he is always climbing around towards the top of the cage.

Does anyone recommend one species over another that might be okay living in the same enclosure as a veiled chameleon since the cage is very large?

Before everyone on the forum beats you into submission, just tell everyone it was a joke and you are sorry.
Seriously though, you know this is a bad idea already.
Enjoy the chameleon as he is meant to be,stress free and solitary.

Agreeing completely with what was said above, that small Veiled chameleon will get big and will need out of the 55 gallon tank. Then get a gecko!
