I don't think they would work well in a chameleon enclosure.

Since they're see-through, they will probably confuse the cham, who won't recognise them as a barrier.

Also, I don't think the vinly one would stand up to a chameleons nails - he'd probably poke holes through it or even shred it.
 
I found that the material you get on Mosquito nets make good sides for cham cages.
We bought the Mozzie pack with the metal frame around it for our Iguana Doors on her cage and it works wonders.Its not the cheapeast thing in the world but cheaper than plexi glass or glass sheets.Its so much easier to work with and not hard to assemble.
 
Fiberglass screening

You can go to Home Depot and buy fiberglass screening or metal screening (the metal is more expensive). Mine are fine with the fiberglass so that is my advice for you.:)
