Lights on or off while egg laying?

I know my chameleon should have complete privacy when ready to lay but what about her lighting schedule? Should that stay the same? I usually run my lights for 12/12 starting at 7AM.

Yes, you can leave them the same for laying. Most females will be able to dig and lay during the daytime but there are a few times that they can't finish and will remain in their hole overnight. Some will sleep while in there where others will finish and bury their eggs in the dark.

Okay thank you! That's what I figured but I wanted to be sure. I think my girl might be ready so I'm going to try and cover her cage with a sheet and give her constant privacy. I haven't seen her digging yet but she's been gravid for over a month now and I'm worried it's my fault she hasn't felt like laying because of the traffic in front of her on a daily basis in the house.
