Light and Light at Night

I was wondering....
I have my chameleon cage right next to my computer. The chams lights are on at 7:00AM and off at 7:00 PM. I use the computer mostly late night. I have all the lights off in the room, just the computer is on. Will this keep my chameleon from sleeping?

Also, I've been thinking about changing the timer up to 10:00AM to 10:00 PM, so I could keep my lights on till tenish (I'm up all night...)

Thanks!

I am up usually till 2am with lights on and my chameleon will sleep through it. Even when I watch a movie in surround sound. He will still not wake up unless you shake the cage alot.

Chameleons cant hear for one.

Also, if it's just your computer screen i doubt it's to much light. If you notice the chameleon is awake you should try to direct the light away from the cage.

I read somewhere that chameleons can feel vibrations is that correct? Cause that is what I meant by surround sound

any animal can feel vibrations if they are intense enough:D. if you can feel the vibrations, chances are that same energy is making its way up your chameleon's stand/cage.

Ya I knew That. But my cham still does not wake up when I am playing games or watching movies. But I do not blast it. I don't want it to get stressed. Thanks

Chameleons do feel vibration and, imho, they somewhat are more sensitive to it than human.
Veiled in particular seems to communicate with vibrations:

So, my suggestion, turn off the surround sound while the chameleon is sleeping. Better yet, use an earphone or take the speaker out to another room.

If you see that he is asleep it shouldnt be a problem. If you are worried about it, you could always cover his cage at night with a blanket or something.

my doesn't wake up for nothing. As soon as the UVB light goes out, he goes to sleep. My son was even able to open the cage and pet him before my cham woke up and ran away.
