Letting your cham sleep outside its cage

can i let my cham sleep on his free range if he want to? he would be perfectly safe throughout the night.

i would put him back in the morning so he can bask and eat

some people leave there chams to live in a free range. they just set up a lighting system with the free range and cup feed. so i think an over night in there wouldnt hurt him/her at all. if they fall asleep before i can put them away at night i always just leave them there. i dont like disturbing there sleep

I guess it would depend on how comfortable you feel possibly having him roam the house at night. How safe is safe?

There are no other animals which can get into the room and no way for him to escape so pretty safe i guess.

I would only leave him to sleep there if he wants to, if he didn't go to sleep at normal time i would put him back, i dont want to stress him!

Im sure he will be fine :) I under stand not wanting to stress him out, mines very temperamental, if he gets woken up late, in the morning.

I wanted to know about this too! Zuggie has gotten curled up on his free range a few times (not fell asleep as i moved him before he did), i get scared that he will wake up early and start roaming and i couldn't find him or something!

I think its fine as long as its safe. The first time we got Teal'c to come out of her house she refused to go back in and so slept on an artificial tree. The next night she went looking for the tree at bed time so we let her out to sleep on it again. Now we call it the happy sleepy tree lol!
