Keep Your Lids On!

I just discovered a cactus wren helping itself to my crickets!
I keep my feeder totes on a covered porch. I don't always put the lids back on properly (don't get my DH started on the toothpaste). The wren hopped into the partially open bin, helped itself to a beak full and flew off. No wonder my bins have been so clean!

When my parents were still together about 10 years ago, they had a bearded dragon. They kept a trashcan full of crickets in the garage pretty much the same way you did. We often went outside to see a Cactus Wren or two munching on crickets. Finally we ended up having to put lids on everything.
