Nosy Be or Oogana Mena "Shedding Mode" ? ? ? (Pics)

Not really sure what to look out for, this is my first chameleon. Also this is the second night having the little guy. He's a Male, about 6 months old and a Nosy Be Panther Chameleon or a Oorana Mena (Started a different thread about this topic). I was told he was a Nosy Be, but a member Tago brought up he looks like a Oorana Mena, which he does. So can anyone identify him for me?

Onto shedding, I've had iguana's and my chams skin kind of looks like an iguanas when he was going to shed. I've noticed the brown spots on him, hoping thats a sign of shedding coming in. Last thing i want is my cham getting burned.

He ate yesterday, gave him about 10 gutloaded dusted medium sized crickets. He ate 8.

I read if they're in shedding stages i would need to up my mist times/lengths? Hopefully he's going to shed soon.

MistKing cuts on at 10:30am 12:30pm 3:30pm and 6:10pm all with 3 minute mist's
Lights on at 7:35am Lights Off at 7:45pm

Night temp inside cage: 68º
Humidity level is usually around 70%+ throughout the day.
Basking spot reads at 85º-90º

wow, he does look allot more like the Oorana Mena/Nosy Faly...I was going to wait till his next shed to really consider him a Nosy Be, which he does have blue in him under the UV light.

The more i look at him the more i'm thinking he's a Oorana Mena...The blue i mentioned is not a blue you would find on a Nosy Be, but more of a Tiffany Jewelry Blue. Also noticed his reds, greens, and darker blues. Also he's on the whiter side.

Amazing, going to look more into it.

Thanks for the reply!

I looked more into and i'm pretty sure he's a Oorana Mena...Just called screameleons to get a price check and males sell for $550 females $400. I got my little guy for $250! what a steal!

The more pics i look at of Oorana Mena remind me of my cham, especially around the 5 month-6month age.

Wow. I love the way they look thats gana be my next cham gata start saving though lol good job on your lil guy how old he?

Your cham looks amazing! so much color...

Nice, $240 is a good price and he was shipped. So no shipping cost! hah.

I paid tax on my guy so total i spent $270.79.

I got him from local pet shop out here. Just call it hell.

That still a realy good price at my local pet shops they never have panthers chams and when they do they try to sell thm at around 400 with out any info male or female.

Yup, so i'm done buying reptiles from pet stores. Always a nightmare...

Here's another pic of him before he started getting the distinct shedding signs. This was taken a few days ago.

Def looks like a Oorana Mena

I think he is in shedding mode judging by his somewhat frosty skin tone he got over night. Anyway those pictures are amazing of him! God I want him :D lol Regardless of what he is, he is going to be crazy when he is older.

Sounds good to hear! really hopping he sheds soon so i can get some pics of the little guy. I said the same thing, whatever he turns out to be he'll look crazy.

I've been posting on this forum like crazy! I just want to make sure i'm doing everything right! lol.

Shedding?

Didn't really get enough answers, Just want to know if his skin is discolored because of an incoming shed or stress.

Thanks!

I dont think it looks faly. im thinking more ambanja or something... mabey even a cross. who knows?

Yah the last pic looks like a ambanja to me
Looking into ambanja's, and they look similar to my cham. I have no idea what i have lol...Never buying a cham from a petshop!

So far i have 3 breeds to debate about haha.

Def looks like an Ambanja or a Faly. Doesn't seem to look like a Be at all...I Actually started a discussion about this.
