Humidity on basking and ambient

I don’t know it is stupid question or not but I has been thinking about humidity. When everybody talk about humidity, are you talk about humidity around basking area or ambient area. My cage is diving into 2 different areas which is hot side and cool side. Basking area (hot side) is around 50-60 and ambient area (cool side) is around 60-80. I run humidifier almost all day but I can’t make humid in basking area go up higher than this too. I have automated mister system on the hot side run 4 times a day 10 mins 2 in the morning and 4 mins in the afternoon and I also mist him addition in the morning too. I mean even though I mist him but the humid will come down back to 50 after I mist him for a while (let say in an hour). His poo is perfectly fine. Just have some orange dot come out sometimes but not every day. I never see him drinking too. The only time I saw him drink is the first week when I got him. By the way, I have Jackson.

Any though?

I try to stick mine somewhere around the middle. I stick mine to the planters that hold the plants. I have the cheap gauges too, I know you're not supposed to get them wet but mine do and seem to be ok. in the beginning I went crazy over every movement the gauge did. it sounds like you have a good handle on it. you could always wrap 3 sides to help with the humidity, too
